New poll: 81% of Mass. voters support school mask mandate

A new poll of Massachusetts registered voters finds 81% support requiring masks for anyone entering a school building. Just 12% oppose the proposal. View crosstabs.

The poll was conducted August 4-13, on behalf of the podcast Mass Reboot. The podcast in an 8 episode summer series on restarting Massachusetts after COVID and what we lost along the way. The final episode will be posted at 3:30 on August 19, and will include polling on other issues related to the government’s response to COVID-19.

The survey included 724 Massachusetts registered voters, and was conducted by phone and online. Results were weighted to known and estimated population parameters on age, gender, party, education, race, and region.
