How red (or blue) is your town?

Maps are a great way to see an overview of the state, but what about your own city or town? Do you live in one of the deepest blue or deepest red towns? Or is your town somewhere in the middle? The top 10 most Republican and Democrat voting towns offer huge margins to their preferred party. Provincetown is the most partisan town in the state, giving Democrats a whopping 76-point average victory over the last five statewide elections. On the other end of the spectrum, the small border town of Douglas, straddling the line between Connecticut and Rhode Island due south of Worcester, is the most Republican, though by a far smaller margin.

The table below ranks Massachusetts' 351 cities and towns by the average margin by which the Republican candidate won (or lost) there in the past five statewide contests. Use the search bar at the top to find your community, or click on the headers to sort by a particular column.

 A couple pro tips:

• Read the decimals as percentages; "0.36", for instance, means the Republican candidate won by 36 percentage points.
• Negative numbers indicate that the Democrat won that town in a given race or on average.
